The Community Help Center provides a variety of services to help individuals and families in need. Our services include emergency shelter, legal advocacy, education, housing and resource navigation, case management, diversionary housing, food assistance, and eviction prevention. We are dedicated to providing comprehensive support to those who need it most.

Housing & Resource Navigation
If you're looking for housing options and need some help finding your way, contact our Housing & Resource Navigator! Our HUD certified housing counselor can assist with locating affordable housing, budgeting, housing assistance available, and other resources! Case Management
Case management assists individuals in need of housing and other benefits complete applications, develop goal plans, locate and connect with resources, and maintain their independence. Case managers are SSI/SSD Outreach, Access, and Recovery (SOAR) certified. Contact us to get started with case management services.

Housing & Legal Advocacy
Our trained housing and legal advocates can assist individuals in need of Protection from Abuse orders and advise them on the enforcement of the orders. In the area of housing, advocates can provide information on tenant rights, explain prior judgements, evictions, liens, and the process to address and clear those to increase housing eligibility.

Emergency Shelter
Emergency shelter is a temporary accommodation in our shelter facility for individuals and families experiencing homelessness. The services are available 24/7 in a home-like, secure setting. Individuals in the emergency shelter receive a variety of services to help them secure and income, quickly locate housing, and connect with resources in the community.

Diversionary Housing
The Way Home low barrier diversion housing program creates pathways for permanent housing for individuals or families who are unsheltered or transitioning from emergency shelter. The program provides rental housing for up to 18 months and offers additional supportive services:

To be eligible for the program, individuals must have behavioral health involvement, an income source, ability to pay rent, and agree to program participation.

Housing Support Program
For individuals facing eviction or in need of assistance to obtain or maintain their housing, this program may be able to help. Services include eviction prevention to assist with back rent, as well as assistance with security deposits and other supports to keep individuals housed. Services are contingent on funding availability.

Education
Understanding what it takes to become a good tenant or manage personal finances is a big part of being successful and our workshops can help. Workshops are FREE and offered on Building Your Financial House, a 7-part curriculum developed by the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency as well as a prepared renter's program.
